It&#039;s not actually as extreme a shift as they might have made and to be honest it was only a couple of months ago within weeks of a race that I moved the saddle back further than it was and down a little. A centimetre up is certainly higher than when I last lowered it though.

In fact checking one week before Roth I went from a 120cm stem to an 80cm stem, lowered the seat and bars slightly and moved the saddle back! I was inspired to try the John Cobb Slam position. Have ridden that position until these changes. 

I have another longer ride to try out and see how I feel yet and can easily restore it before race day.</description>
